DVD cover for Kings of Convenience (School Project)

The task was to create a DVD cover using typography as the main element. It was to have the title of a song, and the design should reflect its mood and rhythm.

I chose the song ‘I’d rather dance with you’ by Kings of Convenience, a Norwegian duo.

The disk label is simple and colourful, just like the song.

The lyrics on the insert spread are set like a poem.

I love the Kings Of Convenience…and I wanted to compliment you on your design of the type specimen book..
You see, I’m currently pursuing my foundation studies in design in India and this week we have typography for which we were given just a day and a half to research and do a 12 page(5 spread) Type specimen. So,your work gave me insight into what a small type specimen should look like.
    Thankyou!

I also think it’s awesome that you worked at a bar in the French riviera and did Improv.
    Very cool.
    =)
