About me
Hi! My name is Eivind Bårdsen, and I am currently in my second year at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
My passion for design started in high school where I often spent as much time designing the front page of my assignments as I spent writing them. While I did that, time seemed to stand still. I was in a state of flow—and suddenly it was bedtime!
At the moment I study for a Bachelor of Arts (Design and Communication). The reason why I don’t do a pure design degree is because I believe in diversity. What I learn in my PR, advertising and communication courses I can apply in my design work. I understand the objectives of a PR campaign, and can see the reasons behind a specific design. I believe in researching thoroughly for maximum success.
Some of the things I tried before I realised graphic design was what I really wanted:
- cut wood for a neighbour
- sorted bottles at the bottle-sorting-factory
- worked in a bar on the french riviera
- booked out video equipment at a youth centre
- was the volunteer coordinator for a film festival and a rock festival
- did improvisational acting
- fed monkeys in Costa Rica
- wrote for local youth comedy shows
My favourite was the bottle sorting. It never ended!
On this website I hope to connect with like minded and different minded people in the discussion about design and study. I also hope to show my portfolio to prospective clients and maybe get some more experience.
I hope you enjoy the visit here! Feel free to contact me using the form below if you have any questions or suggestions.
Thank you for visiting!
